Noddy Woo (KOR:노디)
Noddy Woo is a bassist, composer, and producer who has long explored the essence of sound through a wide range of studio works. With a strong interest in analog electronic instruments and sound synthesis, Noddy has expanded her creative practice around electronic music. She seeks balance between change and continuity within limited systems, developing a distinctive style that embraces real-time modulation and interaction between multiple sonic sources. Noddy is a member and curator of Modular Seoul, a performance series and artist collective that explores experimental and electronic music with a focus on diversity. Her work spans dance, media art, sound installations, and live performances in exhibitions and on stage. Her releases include the full-length albums Patch Notes 13, Body Landscape, and BBUREKA, the EP Machines Don’t Die, and the single Colorless, Odorless.
베이시스트이자 작곡가, 프로듀서로 활동해온 노디(Noddy Woo)는 다양한 스튜디오 작업을 통해 ‘소리’에 대한 근원적 고민과 탐구를 이어왔으며, 그 과정에서 아날로그 방식의 전자악기와 사운드 합성에 관심을 갖게 되었고 이후 전자음악을 중심으로 작업의 영역을 확장해 왔다. 제한적 시스템에서 이루어지는 소리의 변화와 유지 사이에 균형을 맞추며 반응하는 것을 좋아하며 실시간으로 변조되는 여러 소스를 활용한 자신만의 독창적인 스타일을 구축하고 있다. 현재 실험음악과 전자음악을 기반으로 다양성을 추구하는 공연시리즈이자 아티스트 콜렉티브인 ‘모듈라서울(Modular Seoul)’의 기획에 참여하고 있으며 무용, 미디어를 비롯한 여러 장르와의 음악 작업, 사운드 관련 프로젝트 및 협업, 전시와 무대에서의 라이브 퍼포먼스 등 폭넓은 형태의 활동을 지속하고 있다. 정규앨범 , , <붕괴 BBUREKA>, EP , 싱글 등을 발매하였다.
Noddy Wooはベーシスト、作曲家、そしてプロデューサーとして、長年にわたり幅広いスタジオワークを通して音の本質を探求してきました。アナログ電子楽器とサウンドシンセシスに強い関心を持つNoddyは、エレクトロニックミュージックを中心に創作活動を展開してきました。限られたシステムの中で変化と継続のバランスを模索し、複数の音源間のリアルタイムモジュレーションと相互作用を取り入れた独特のスタイルを生み出しています。Noddyは、多様性に焦点を当てながら実験音楽とエレクトロニックミュージックを探求するパフォーマンスシリーズ兼アーティストコレクティブ、Modular Seoulのメンバー兼キュレーターです。ダンス、メディアアート、サウンドインスタレーション、展覧会や舞台でのライブパフォーマンスなど、幅広い作品を制作しています。リリース作品には、フルアルバム『Patch Notes 13』『Body Landscape』『BBUREKA』、EP『Machines Don’t Die』、シングル『Colorless, Odorless』などがあります。
