Timmy Lok is an electronic musician in Hong Kong’s indie music scene over 30 years. He collaborated with and composed, arranged and remixed for different mainstream and indie artists including Moloko (UK), John Rose (AU) and Jan Lamb (HK). He also supported The Orb (UK) for their Hong Kong concert in 2000 and Hideki Matsutake (YMO/Logic System, JP) for his Taiwan concert in 2016 and Live in Hong Kong 2017.
Between 2013 and 2015, he produced a series of radio programmes (玩創電音/ EC Music Lecture) for RTHK focusing on electronic music culture, technology and education.
He also organise seminars and workshops for electronic music culture and education and has been invited as a part time tutor for APA(HK) and CCM(MO).
In June of 2017, he founded Hong Kong Electronic Music Society (香港電子音樂 社) as a formal society for promoting electronic music culture in Hong Kong.
Currently Timmy is collaborating with other musicians and one of the collaborators is Eddie Hui. They formed an improvised electronic duo called Self-Ox Randomness and performed for lots of gigs and music festivals in Hong Kong since 2016.

Nutchapon Choosakul is a Musician and Composer base on Jazz style in Bangkok. His compostion was played in Taiwan, Nepal Malaysia and Singapore Jazz festival years a go. In local, he joined Thailand International Jazz Conference every years. He has been interested in electronic music since 2015. Currently he had a free improvisation project named ‘Trisara’ which released one album.

Atlanta-based electronic musician, producer and sound designer Richard Devine returns with a new 12-track album of intricate electronica. Sort\Lave releases 2018/11/2 on Venetian Snares’ Timesig imprint and is his first album created on modular. Making his debut in 1995, Devine’s releases for labels including Schematic, Warp Records and Detroit Underground have established him as one of the leading figures within the electronica community. He has also enjoyed a lengthy and successful career in sound design, developing patches for many of the world’s leading music technology businesses and working with companies such as Google and Nike.

mudlogger is an electronic musician and sound designer from the UK working with modular synthesizers, synth DIY and electronics and living in rural Thailand. He composes with Ciat Lonbarde, Serge, Eurorack, Buchla 200e and Buchla Easel systems, as well as using homemade electronic devices. He plays live with a Monome / Whimsical Raps ISMS hybrid eurorack system and records a mixture of live experimental glitch, improvised compositions, as well as more melodic instrumental pieces.

Maf is a graphic and sound designer based in Guangzhou, China. his music comes intentionally only from modular to keep the performance limited and neat. It is like casually sweeping a beam of light on scattered mirrors across spaces, little get reflected, but most of the light lost in the void.

The heart of KABUKI beats across the disparate genres of Hip Hop, Jungle and UK Bass. For more than 20 years his music productions have covered the full spectrum of beat science, always zeroing in on a particular feeling. Kabuki has also programmed preset sounds for software synthesizers, created sample libraries, and taught sound synthesis at the Abbey Road Institute. A project that shows the full scope of Kabukis artistic vision is the New Forms event series that he initiated together with British Bass music figurehead dBridge. Kabuki has also established his own platform called Beat Excursions, where he is releasing his own productions, remixes and collaborations blurring the boundaries between Jungle, Juke and Dubstep.

Daedelusとはロサンゼルス出身のプロデューサーAlfred Darlingtonの活動名義で、世界のエレクトロニックビートミュージックシーンをけん引する存在である。15年以上にわたる活動で世界中をツアーしながら数々のアルバムリリースし、テクノロジーとオーディオを通じて無双の体験を常に探究し続けてきた。

Ninjatune、Brainfeeder、そして独自レーベルMagical Propertiesからリリースしてきた数々の傑作は、いまだ衰えを見せないEDMムーブメントの中でも力強く彼の影響を残している。さらに活動はそれだけにとどまらず、TEDx、AbletonのLOOP、RBMA、それとGuthman Musical Instrument Competitionでの審査員までに及び、多彩なレパートリーを持つ。

Alfred Darlington, better known as Daedelus, is an influential Los Angeles producer and cornerstone of the electronic and beat music scenes both locally and internationally. Over the last 15 years, he has released numerous albums, toured the world extensively, and pushed forward the rich intersection of technology and audio experiences.

Hallmark releases on Ninjatune, Brainfeeder, and his own Magical Properties imprint has resonated across the still growing Electronic Dance Music movement. As well appearances for TEDx, Ableton’s LOOP, RBMA, and judging at the Guthman Musical Instrument Competition.

Daedelus is a maze of genre, juxtaposing disparate influences while maintaining an underlying love and appreciation for all styles; his own quests motivated by sonorous optimism rather than noisy cynicism.

Like his mythological namesake, Daedelus is an inventor, a creator of labyrinths. He recombines sounds from across the spectrum into an innovative genre all his own.

Born in 1985 in Jakarta, Indonesia, Bagus Pandega graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung, with a Bachelor in Fine Art in 2008, majoring in Sculpture. His work has been exhibited in major asian city and Europe. Working primarily through kinetics, sounds and lights, Pandega often challenges the pre- conditioned relationship between objects and their audience by emphasizing the notion of the physical space around the latter. His inclination in assembling together various electronic systems as ‘modules’ in his work and constant medium explorations of voice recorders, cassette and record players, lamps and electronic circuit boards to name a few, plays with the accumulation of perceptions. Many of his artworks encourage audience interaction through movement, sound and light.

He is working with new media, multidisciplinary art and science projects, creating sound design, installations, performances and composition for 3D video mapping events. In his recent performances he is combining modular synthesis with post dub approach utilising sampling of traditional Japanese instruments.

do Moll is living in Cologne/Germany and works as composer, trumpeter and sound artist. After Music Conservatory in Cologne (Jazz trumpet and Composition) he expanded his expertise in the fields of experimental contemporary music, improvisation, world music and transmedial sound art. Concert tours and residencies brought him to a lot of places not only in europe but around the world. イタリア・ミラノ出身、現在は東京在住のモジュラーシンセミュージシャン。
20年に渡る音と音楽の自己探求の結果、IDM、アンビエントやグリッチ、またサンプルを巧みに加工して取り入れる彼の音楽を、真に体現するものとしてモジュラーシンセにたどり着く。
2015年にミラノから東京へ拠点を移して以来、クラブやモジュラーイベントなどでレギュラーパフォーマーとして活動。さらに、モジュラーシンセブランドとのサウンドデザインプロジェクトを幅広く手がけている。2018年にはミニテープをリリース予定。

Ipnoteca is an Italian modular synth musician, since 2015 based in tokyo. over the 20 years of personal research in music and sound, he discovered into modular synthesizers the perfect instrument to create IDM, ambient, glitch and samples manipulation, main characteristic of his sound. after moving to tokyo had the chance to become a regular performer and play various shows around clubs and modular events. actually working on different project for sound design with modular synth brand and a minitape that will be released in 2018.

1988年和歌山生まれ。かに座のA型。東京都内を中心に、様々な形態でライブハウス、クラブ、ギャラリー等でのライブや、モジュラーレーザーを使ったセッション型のVJなども行っている。
TFOM2018では、モジュラーのLIVEだけでなく、モジュラーレーザーを使ったVJや、展示ブースでは、鬼才ULU aka TateyamaとBastl instrumentsのデモプレイヤーとしても参加する。

数々のアナログシンセサイザー・ハード機材に囲まれた環境で育ち機材知識を独学で習得。 電子海面とは結成時から交流があり、当時はまだ珍しかったモジュラーシンセのパフォーマンスに感銘を受け自身もプレイヤーとして2013年から活動を始める。 機能・動作への探究心が強くモジュラーシンセへの可能性を追求し続け、その知識・経験から迷えるモジュラーシンセプレイヤーへの駆け込み寺として日々様々な相談を受けている。 自身のライブでは何もパッチングされていない状態からはじめる演奏スタイルを貫いており、高速パッチングでリアルタイムに様々な音を紡ぎだす。 ライブ活動が中心だが日本のモジュラーシンセ・プレイヤーのコンピレーションアルバム「The Young Person’s Guide to Modular Synthesis 3」毎月行われているモジュラーシンセイベントのコンピレーションアルバム「2nd Anniversary Compilation Album」で作品のリリースをしている。

HARDCOREバンド活動の傍ら、2005年から自作電子楽器を使った即興演奏活動を開始。友人が使っていたユーロラックモジュラーシンセに興味を持つが、初期投資を抑える為自作を試みる。2014年モジュラーシンセガレージメーカーHIKARI INSTRUMENTSを開始。2014年からTokyo Festival of Modularに出展するなど、ライブと作品作り両方で精力的に活動中。

東京藝術大学大学院修了。人間性を排除した先の領域の作曲を探求すべくプログラミング技術を駆使して生成したピアノアルバム 「Preludes for Piano Book1」を2016年リリース。技術者として放送局、自動車会社等のプログラム開発、雑誌PROSOUNDにて音とテクノロジー、芸術に関する連載、主宰するRESONANCEでの教育活動など幅広い活動を行なっている。TFoMのライブではコンピューター上の理論的アルゴリズムからモジュラーシンセを制御するリアルタイムトラックメイキングを披露。

変性意識状態での幻想。それはまるで時空の歪みで起こっている摩訶不思議な現象を具現化しているかのようだ。多幸感と毒が共存するアブストラクトでオブスキュアな世界。そのようなイメージを音で表現している。ここ数年はモジュラーシンセを駆使したライブ活動を行っており先日のDommuneでのギグやPowwowでのLive配信は海外からも評価を得ている。

machìna is an energetic, slightly obsessive and extremely charming Korean

ドラびでお(LaserModular) 2012年長年プロとして活動してきたドラムを引退。その 後tkrworks社と長年開発を進めて来た映像と音楽をリアルタイムにリミックス出来る自作 楽器「DORAnome」により活動を再開。既製の楽器ありきの音楽では無く楽器自体から 自分自身の音楽専用に一から作り上げるというコンセプトにより圧倒的な個性と唯一無似 な世界観を出している。この「ドラびでお」は世界中のロックフェス、ジャズフェス、メ ディアアートフェス、映画祭、芸術祭でも好評をはくし2018年にも大規模なワールドツア ーが企画されている。 現在はモジュラーシステムによるレーザー、LEDコントロールシ ステムによるライブ・ワークショップを世界中で展開中である。 2005年にはARS Electronica(オーストリア)にてその年最も優れたDigital Musicsに贈られるHonorary Mention賞を受賞。2007年6月世界芸術界の最高峰ベネチアビエンナーレに招待され 2008年8月にはスペイン「サラゴサ万国博覧会」に日本代表として招待され2009年には 人気テレビ番組「SMAP×SMAP」にも出演している。

坪口昌恭(Modular Synthesizer, Vocoder) × 角銅真実(Perc, Voice, etc.)

普段は鍵盤のある楽器に携わっている坪口が、モジュラー・パッチ・シンセサイザーを駆使し、 有機的かつ複雑な動き(サウンド)を見せる“ライブ・ペインティングもしくはインスタレーション”的な手法のパフォーマンス。 鍵盤やMIDI、シーケンサーを一切使わずに、まっさらな状態からパッチケーブルの抜き差しとツマミの操作のみで(時折ヴォコーダーを活用)、 ライブ・インプロヴィゼイションとしての醍醐味を含みつつ、多彩に場面展開してゆく。 今回は、自由で多彩、それでいて全ての音に息吹を生ずることのできる打楽器(に限らない)音楽家、角銅真実がモジュラーサウンドに対峙し、予想不能な世界へと誘う。

坪口昌恭 | Masayasu Tzboguchi

1964年福井県生まれ、大阪育ち。福井大学工学部応用物理学科卒業後、1987年に上京。 ジャズにエレクトロニクスを積極的に取り入れ、オルタネイティブかつボーダーレスなキー ボーディストとして多数のライブや音楽制作に携わっている。 主宰するエレクトロジャズユニット『東京ザヴィヌルバッハ』(’12年、’13年にNY公 演)、キューバ勢ジャズメンとのNY録音リーダー作、ピアノトリオ・リミックス作、ソロ ピアノ等自己名義のアルバムを16枚発表。
2013年モジュラーシンセ・ソロ作“A Cat On Modular”リリース。 2018年3月、西田修大(Gt, efx)、大井一彌(Drums)とタッグを組んだ、テクノ・フレイバ ーなミクスチャー・ユニット「Ortance」始動。レクチャーシリーズ『TZBOLABO』、 ピアノトリオ『Radio-Acoustique』も平行して主宰。 原田知世、JUJU、小泉今日子、宇多田ヒカル、伊藤ゴロー他90枚のCDやツアーに参加。 ’11年映画「Lily」の全音楽を作曲/制作。’16年アニメ「ReLIFE」の全劇中音楽を作曲/ 演奏。
『菊地成孔DC/PRG』『RM jazz legacy』他の鍵盤奏者としても現在進行形のジャズをア ピールする一方で、Barry Harris メソッドの継承者としても後進の指導にあたっている。

Phew:1978年にパンクバンドAunt Sallyで活動をスタート。バンド解散後はソロとして、 国内外の数々のミュージシャンとコラボレーションを行なう。 現在は、2013年からはじめた電子音楽のソロユニットとパンクバンドMOSTを中心に活動 している。
2018年2月に声のみで制作されたアルバム「Voice Hardcore」をリリース、9月にはThe
